About Us
Wamani began with a dream—literally. One day, my mom called me to say she had dreamt the two of us were selling art and handmade goods from Ecuador. What she didn’t know was that I had already been sketching out plans for just that. We took it as a sign and jumped in together. We alerted the family group chat of our plans, booked our flights, and packed our bags.
As a mother-daughter duo with deep Ecuadorian roots, we started Wamani to honor the rich traditions and artistry we grew up surrounded by. Every item in our shop is handcrafted by skilled artisans across Ecuador, many of whom have passed down their techniques through generations.
We work directly with artisan families to carefully curate each piece, ensuring it reflects the true spirit of Ecuadorian culture while also supporting the communities behind it. From filigree jewelry to leather goods to vibrant textiles, everything we offer is made with intention, integrity, and heart.
At Wamani, we don’t believe in mass production or rushing through trends. We believe in preserving stories, celebrating heritage, and connecting people to meaningful, handmade craftsmanship.
However you found us, we’re so glad you did.
Con gratitud,
Zahida & Nancy
